I'm Helen Thwaite, Mancunian and life-long nerd. I grew up watching Doctor Who and reading Tolkien, but nerdom gave way to motherhood and other things. It wasn't until all my children became adults (and I got divorced) that I began to re-embrace my inner, geeky child once again.
I was introduced to Dungeons & Dragons by Todd Stashwick (yes, that one). I started DMing with the one-shot from the back of his book, Mystic Libations. Being a chaos gremlin, I fell in love very quickly with the bonkers fun of the game.
It's also why I publish one-shots under the name "Dirty22" - I gave Todd a reroll during one of his charity D&D games and the result was a dirty 22 (natural 20 + Initiative modifer).
